The number one dating tip I can come up with is: never talk about past relationship problems on a date.
If all you do is relate how unlucky in love you've been, all you'll succeed in doing is coming across as a negative person - not a good start to a new relationship.

On a first date it's a good idea to bail out before you run out of things to say and get into those uneasy silences. One way to do this is to have an excuse lined up at the outset: I can't stay too long because...'

Another good dating tip is to make sure you leave the other person in no doubt that you enjoyed the date - if you really did and you want to see them again. Indeed, it's better to be a little over the top here rather than leave them in any doubt.

Another dating tip: guys remember that even in these so-called liberated times it's still comparatively rare for women to make the first move so I'm afraid you'll just have to screw up the courage yourself.
